What if health depends not only on what happens within us, but on what we are connected to?

This international, interdisciplinary consensus paper introduces Ecological Medicine, a framework that views human health as inseparable from our relationships with other people, animals, plants, and the natural world. Developed by a 73-member expert working group, it identifies priorities for bringing nature connection into healthcare, research, education, and policy. The central idea is a profound shift from treating health as an individual phenomenon to recognizing connection, reciprocity, and interdependence as fundamental components of health itself.
