A Message from Dr. Calisi Rodríguez: Pioneering the Future of Green Care Research:
Greetings and thank you for your interest in the Green Care Lab! We stand at the threshold of a new era as we welcome the very first cohort of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars into our dynamic program. This marks an unprecedented opportunity for you to actively influence and contribute to the direction of our research.
In my previous endeavors, my focus primarily centered on the intricate realms of neurogenomics and neuroendocrinology, with a keen interest in stress and reproduction. However, the Green Care Lab represents a transformative shift in our approach. We've moved beyond invasive animal studies to build a program that champions the well-being of rescued animals and harnesses the therapeutic potential of our gardens. Our overarching mission? To play a pivotal role in fostering thriving, inclusive, and sustainable communities through the integration of Green Care practices. If you're curious about the "why" and "how" of this transition, you can delve into my journey here.
