Lab members must promptly comply when asked to cease any inappropriate behavior. This expectation extends beyond the lab's physical boundaries and includes situations such as scientific conferences, online platforms, or in-person gatherings. Should a lab member engage in conduct that violates this Code of Conduct, the lab's head or a designated supervising member may take various actions, including issuing a warning, requesting the individual to leave the lab, event, or platform, or initiating an investigation through the appropriate campus authorities or organizations to address the Code of Conduct violation and impose suitable sanctions.
If you believe that someone is breaching the Code of Conduct, we urge you to report it promptly to Dr. Calisi Rodríguez, the head of the lab. If you feel uncomfortable doing so, please report the incident to another lab member who serves as a trusted mentor or supervisor. Additionally, you can seek assistance from the UC Davis Ombuds Office, which is a confidential, impartial, and independent resource dedicated to resolving problems and managing conflicts for all UC Davis and UC Davis Health campus community members.
